Rebecca Clow

What you teach at NDDD 

I teach Ballet, PBT, Pointe Work and Repertoire for the School and College. 


Previous Credits

I performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet, toured Europe and Mexico with Moscow State Ballet and was a resident classical dancer at The National Theatre Belgrade, Serbia. I also worked with Reach-Out 4 Dance taking ballet to Mental Health facilities, hospitals, orphanages and schools across the UK and abroad. 

 

Career Highlight/Most Memorable Moment 

I will never forget the moment when I received my first contract as a professional ballet dancer!

A career highlight for me was performing Swan Lake for the Prince of Denmark in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen. 


What do you like most about Teaching?
I love to see the passion from my students and their improvement/progression after they’ve worked so hard. 


What type of Teacher are you?

I’m a positive person so I like to bring that atmosphere and energy to the studio so we can all push each other to be the best we can. 


Previous Training 

I trained at Elmhurst Ballet School for 9 years with former Royal Ballet Principal Dancer Errol Pickford.

What you teach at NDDD

I currently teach the Grade work at our Saturday School for the lower grades. I also teach the Baby Class!

 

Previous Credits

I have performed in various Pantomimes, UK Arena Tours (Clubland), Cabaret Shows and was also a Semi-Finalist and Finalist on Got To Dance. 


Career Highlight/Most Memorable Moment

Being part of Got To Dance and making it to the Final.


What you like most about Teaching?

I love teaching from the Baby Class upwards as I get to see the students grow from their very first dance class into the amazing dancers they all become! Also their little smiles always light up my Saturday mornings! 


What type of Teacher are you?

I would say I am a caring dance teacher. I love to motivate and encourage my students to always work hard and grow but also enjoy every class. 


Previous Training 

I was a dance student at Nazene Danielle’s and trained in all styles, including Jazz, Commercial, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern and Musical Theatre.  I left the school and joined the College in it’s first year of college opening. So I was one of Nazene’s first college students! During this time I achieved my ISTD teaching qualifications as well as having lots of amazing opportunities as working as a professional dancer.

What you teach at NDDD

I teach the Commercial classes for the College, Seniors and Juniors at the School.


What you like most about Teaching?

Watching students grow and having that moment where it is all comes together. Also seeing how patience, effort and consistency really makes a great dancer.


What type of Teacher are you?

I am an engaging and exciting teacher. I love to see students bring passion and dynamics into my choreography.

I teach musical theatre jazz, jazz styles and industry preparation.

I have choreographed and created 3 new production shows for MSC CRUISES and performed all over the UK and Internationally in multiple theatre/trade/fashion and floor shows, TV and Film, pantomimes and onboard luxury liners of Princess Cruises, Holland America, Royal Caribbean And P&O UK

 

Choreography and assistant choreography Credits include:

My most memorable and proudest moments were when I performed with superstar P!NK at the MTV Europe Music Awards and winning an MTA for best ensemble for my role in a new production of CHICAGO.

What you like most about Teaching?

The most I enjoy about teaching is nurturing talent and being rewarded by the students progression.

What type of Teacher are you?

I am a patient and caring teacher and I like to push and challenge students with choreography content.

​

Previous Training 

I graduated from a  Performing Arts College with teaching diplomas within the ISTD and IDTA dance faculty and then began working as a professional dancer and choreographer.

Dan:

Before drama school Dan toured the UK in a band and learnt how to play piano & guitar, as there is nothing like performing in a band to make you learn quickly as a self-taught musician. Since leaving Central, Dan has mainly worked as a vocalist/ instrumentalist on various cruise ships including Viking Orion- Viking Cruises- David Michael Productions and Marella Celebration- Peel Talent LTD, he has also performed in Zalando Christmas Advert, Dir. Jake Nava and partaken in a workshop alongside Take That for The Band Musical tour. 

 

Career Highlight/Most Memorable Moment 

Our career highlight would definitely be being able to travel the world and do something we love all whilst sharing that experience together.

 

What do you like most about Teaching?

The thing we love most about teaching is being able to share first hand experiences that will enhance an individuals understanding and knowledge of one of the most amazing industries in the world. It is so exciting to watch students grow and develop and we live for the little victories and break-throughs that make it a privilege to be a part of. 

 

What type of Teacher are you?

We definitely take the fun but firm approach. Your training is in your hands we like to think we are providing you with an excellent foundation so it is up to you then to push yourself out of your comfort zone and constantly strive to do better. We hope that we are always creating in environment where you feel you are able to do this.

Previous Training 

Beth trained at the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Bodywork Company Dance Studios where she obtained an extended diploma in Musical Theatre and graduated with the triple threat Musical Theatre Shield. 

Dan has an accredited background in Acting (Musical Theatre) and trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, predominantly as an actor.

What you teach at NDDD 

I teach RAD Ballet Grades and Vocational.


Previous Credits

I have performed with Manchester City Ballet and Jazzgalore Dance Company. I have performed on several cruise ships as a dancer, and in 5 star hotels in Greece. I am currently Principal of my own dance school. I have been a member of the RAD Regional Advisory Committee more recently I was promoted to the Regional Ambassador for the North of England with the RAD.

 

Career Highlight/Most Memorable Moment 

My career highlight was gaining my first contract as a dancer on the cruise ships. This was a fantastic opportunity and an amazing experience. More recently being appointed Regional Ambassador for the RAD has been a great honour, and I am looking forward to working with many RAD teachers.


What you like most about Teaching? 

I love to share my passion for dance with all my students, watching them flourish in front of your eyes is very rewarding. Students saying they want to be just like you when they are older is very humbling.


What type of Teacher are you?

Firm but fair, as long as you give it a go I will always be on your side. My students have also said I am completely bonkers!

I am a New Teacher at NDDD who specialises in Acrobatics, Tumbling, Flexibility and Body Conditioning.

Being able to teach and nurture insane talent!

The UK has so many resilient and talented children & young adults. It makes me so proud to be able to teach the next generation of performers!

I teach Musical Theatre Rep & Jazz Technique to DYNAMIX College Students and NDDD.

Credits include; CATS The Musical (Mungojerrie/Dance Captain), MS Baltic Princess (Lead Vocalist), Cunard (Production Dancer), MHT UK, Ireland & West End Tour (Ensemble), Norwegian Cruises (Guest Ent), Her Benny The Musical (Benny Bates), Fred Olsen Cruises (Singer/Dancer) and Grand Theatre Company (Singer/Dancer). Also, a variety of choreography and pantomime credits.


Career Highlight/Most Memorable Moment 

CATS The Musical. When I was younger I performed a Song & Dance as The Rum Tum Tugger and I ALWAYS knew I wanted to be in CATS. I knew it was my career goal to be in such an ICONIC musical and I made it and I was grateful for my training each time I stepped on the stage.

What you like most about Teaching?

I love students being engaged & excited about what they want to do. I like seeing feedback applied and people finding their own 'star quality' which will set them up for the industry.


What type of Teacher are you?  

I would describe myself as hilarious. But, I am unsure if students would agree HA! I always aim to be as engaging and dynamic as possible - both physically and vocally to keep a sense of excitement. I always aim to build confidence & boost safe dance practice.
